We Have an Ambulance!

Yesterday, our ambulance finally made it to Baie d'Orange!

This area has NEVER had its own vehicle or way to transport patients besides a motorcycle. The 14,000 people in this village have lived their whole lives without a doctor, hospital, or medical lab. These people have been left to fend for themselves and so many have suffered and died because of it.

Just hours after the ambulance made it up the mountain to its new home, a life or death situation showed up at the door. A man who was sick and unconscious was carried in on a make-shift stretcher from a neighboring village. Some of the family believed him to already be dead and were crying, wailing, and calling back home to make his funeral arrangements. Our nurse felt a very weak pulse and assured them there was still a chance he could make it. They rushed him to the hospital in our new ambulance a few hours away and is being treated now. Had we not had a vehicle there that day, the man would have died.

This is a dream come true for many people. Countless men, women, and children will be saved because of this ambulance! We could not be happier for the chance to provide the people of this village with this life-saving service.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Thank you for trusting us with your finances. Thank you for being so generous. Thank you for caring. I can't say it enough.

THANK YOU!
